Best dressed on the Oscars red carpet

Even though the Oscars was 4 days ago, I’ve had people tell me they’re waiting for me to put a post up about who I thought was the best dressed. To be completely honest, I was a little underwhelmed this year. However, there were certainly still some women who slayed the red carpet and looked amazing. So here are my favourite looks from the red carpet, and the Vanity Fair after party!

Cate-Blanchett-730

Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive and Tiffany and Co. Jewellery. She’s been the queen of red carpets lately, not making one wrong move. In this dress she proves why she’s at the top of the game.

Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton. This look was by far my favourite. I love that people are comparing her look to that of Belle from beauty and the beast as she was certainly Belle of the ball. The colour is what made me fall for this dress, however I love the cut just as much. She was wise to keep her hair and makeup simple as it really complimented the look.

Saoirse Ronan in Calvin Klein Collection. I love, love, looooove this entire look! Not only is she a mega babe, but she knows how to pick a great dress. This was probably my favourite beauty look from the night; her hair looked so damn good!

Olivia-Wilde-Jason-Sudeikis-Oscars-2016

Olivia Wilde in Valentino Haute Couture. This dress is everything! The neckline, the back; it looked perfect from every angle!

Brie Larson in Gucci. I’ve found that a lot of people aren’t sure about this dress and I can understand why. I personally think the belt was a little too much but aside from that, the dress is incredible! I love the cut and the way it flows at the bottom and the colour suits Brie’s dark hair and red lips.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior. She has killed it again. I envy the fact that she is the spokesperson for Dior. I mean, who wouldn’t want to wear Dior to every event???

Rooney Mara in Givenchy Haute Couture. It’s expected to see her in Givenchy, but I’m glad she stuck to her roots. The dress is so elegant yet interesting and I love the placement of the cut out. Plus, her hair and makeup looked incredible. She owned the entire look!

Selena Gomez in Louis Vuitton. I love this woman. She looks incredible every time and I love that she’s recently been changing up her red carpet style and going for bolder looks. This dress suits her body shape so well and keeping her makeup simple was the way to go. Slay Selena!

Rachel McAdams in Naeem Khan. Pretty in pink, Rachel looks gorgeous in this dress. The low cut isn’t too dramatic and the split is high enough to add interest to this otherwise simple dress. She rocked this dress with some simple shoes and her figure is incredible!

I couldn’t do an Oscars post without mentioning Leo…it was about time and he most definitely deserved the Oscar! If you haven’t seen the Revenant, I highly recommend it, his performance was incredible. Also, the cinematography was amazing!
